"Thoughts of New Life" (excerpts)

No.4

Life is a play,
We’re all in it—just actors.
Let’s argue: June is May.
Forget the logic. Skip the ruling factors.
Life is a joke.
We’re all in it—just clowns.
Love’s caused my stroke.
I’m getting rid of bounds.
Life is a trap.
We’re all in it—just runners.
Uncover deadly wrap.
Destroy old-fashioned banners.
Life is a chance.
We’re all in it—just gamers.
Pretend to know this dance.
World has its own disclaimers.

No.5

The rain has been pouring
for decades, for ages.
It washed off all cumbersome
thoughts of the past.
So vicious, enduring,
Fertile, outrages...
Rain washed out the handsome,
Released it from cages
For world to discover
And savor at last.
And thus we will last,
for there's no more Past.

No.8

Perfection… For you I’ve been losing my battle.
All that is left from my attempt--- just noise and rattle
of broken keys and torn up strings, and searching for what’s right.
I lose again. Fall down. Find strength. Stand up once more and fight.
